Sarah Graham holds a Master of Music degree in Flute Performance from UGA (2012) and a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Columbus State University (2008). Sarah was the first recipient of a Graduate Teaching Assistantantship Award in Flute at UGA where she was responsible for teaching undergraduate flute students. She was a member of the UGA graduate touring woodwind quintet, Southern Winds. Sarah held principal flute positions in both the Wind Ensemble and the Philharmonic Orchestras at both UGA and CSU. She has had the opportunity to be a part of numerous major works including Puccini's La Boheme, and Brahm's Requiem as well as several world premieres including Theofanidis' The Here and Now. In February 2009, Sarah made her concerto debut performing the Reinecke Concerto, in D, Op. 283 with the Beaufort Symphony Orchestra in her home town of Beaufort, SC. Sarah has had the privilege to work with many world renown flutists, such as Michel Debost, Peter Lloyd, Mimi Stillman, Christina Smith, and Susan Hoeppner. Sarah has taught successful flute studios in both Columbus, GA and Athens, GA and is now a freelance musician and flute teacher in the metro-Atlanta area.
